Everything's Big in Texas

When everyone first heard of The Zumiez Best Foot Forward Am Contest Series presented by Boost Mobile, they had visions of a "warm-up" or "opening act" to the pro demos on the Zumiez Couch Tour 2007. They were wrong, BFF is an event in itself and the skating that went down in Dallas was just as good if not better than the demo. This was the best 25 invite-only skater roster on the tour so far, and that made it insanely hard for the judges to pick the top 5 that moved on to the days finals.

Kolby Petrus skated well enough to win with a back tail on the
out ledge, back tail shuv on the picnic table and a front salad down the rail, but this day it was good enough for 3rd. Collin Browning landed a 3 flip 50-50 down the hubba and a 5-0 fakie across the channel to end up 2nd. Ryan Strader skated everything and with tech style. Switch heel down the set, kick flip front board down the rail and a kick flip crook on the picnic table was just a sampling of Ryan's bag of tricks. Dallas will be well represented in the BFF Finals in Milpitas California June 30th.

The winners of the winged-foot trophies... Texas Style. Kolby Petrus, finalist Ryan Strader, and Collin Browning.
