In order to be a true chronograph watch a manufacturer must pass the strict standards of the Swiss Chronograph Institute, although many manufacturers have their own versions now. Normally considered an action sports watch, the chronograph watch is now used for casual, office, school, and social purposes with anyone and everyone using them in their daily lives. The chronograph watch can serve multiple functions, which has proved useful in today's fast pace world.
