Penny Skateboards

The history of Penny Skateboards

Penny Skateboards (otherwise known as Penny Australia) keep it extra fun with their line of high-quality, complete skateboards, and other skate products. Penny Skateboards take their inspiration from the traditional style of mold-injected plastic skateboard decks that were prevalent during the early days of skateboarding, throughout the 1960's and 70's. Penny skateboard decks are made from ultra tough plastic, and Penny complete skateboards come complete with Penny trucks and wheels specifically designed for use with the small plastic boards.

Penny Skateboards was founded by Ben Mackay, who says that skateboarding has inspired every part of his life. Some of the most fun times he had were on the skateboards he learned on (starting at age 5), which were original plastic skateboards. Almost 30 years later, he knew it was time to bring that little plastic board back.

Penny Skateboards are proud to produce a wide assortment of easy-to-use colorful complete skateboards, decks, wheels and trucks for anybody that is interested in having an amazing time on their own or with friends and family. Each Penny skateboard is built with the highest quality raw materials and fanatical attention to detail. Penny skateboards are designed and built to look good, perform well, and exceed all your expectations. Penny Skateboards, since forever.

Zumiez is proud to carry a line of Penny Skateboards, including the Nickel Cruiser and its slightly smaller sibling, the Penny Cruiser. Both the Penny Cruiser and Nickel Cruiser are small enough to truck along with you pretty easily, for quick access when it's time to bomb down a hill or make it to class on time.
