The History of the Volcom Brand and Company

Volcom was formed in 1991 by Richard Woolcott and Tucker Hall who had quit their jobs to create a clothing company. Today Volcom has risen to become the leader in action sports apparel. The Volcom product line is diverse and caters to people who share a passion for art, music, film, skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, and motocross. Volcom are known for highly technological snowboard jackets and snow pants for shredding the mountain, as well as summer and surf gear, like their line of high-tech board shorts and rash guards. Volcom have built a reputation for creating apparel with a distinctive combination of fashion and function, combined with quality, comfort, and athletic performance.
