Von Zipper is an action sports company that manufactures top-of-the-line sunglasses, goggles, accessories, and soft goods, based out of Orange County, California. Von Zipper was founded in 1999 by a group of friends who had grown up surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and riding dirt bikes together, and wanted to provide a high-quality product with the maximum amount of stoke, full-speed attitude, and unique in-your-face flair.
Today, Von Zipper is owned by Billabong, and continues to make fresh and innovative gear for extreme athletes, pop-culture personalities, their fans, and the sub-culture that follows them from a number of sports, including skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, motorcross, and bmx. The athletes that have represented the Von Zipper brand are some of the best in the game, including pro skateboarder and Australian high-ollie master Andrew Brophy, surfing champion Taj Barrow, and Snowboarder Magazine's 2010 Rider Of The Year John Jackson.
