Supra Skytop 3

It all began back in 2006 when pro skater Chad Muska teamed up with Supra to create the one-and-only Supra Skytop. Unlike anything the shoe world had ever seen, the Supra Skytop quickly gained a reputation for being one of the wildest and most innovative skate shoes available. The first Supra Skytop combines an oldschool sneaker design with new-age technology. The Supra Skytop was taller and flashier than any other shoe on the market and offered classic Supra features like extra heel protection molded into its ultra comfortable high memory polyurethane insole and a full-length midsole injected with exclusive SUPRAFOAM padding. Almost over night, Chad Muska’s Supra Skytop became an instant classic.

The haters didn’t think lightning could strike twice, but Muska proved them all wrong when Supra released the Supra Skytop II. An instant classic, the Skytop 2 hit the ground running as soon as it was released. Even taller than the original Skytop, Muska designed the Skytop II with the same oldschool vulcanized sneaker look but took the shoe to the next level with features like a distinctive extra tall tongue designed with two pull tabs, added heel protection molded into the high memory polyurethane sockliner and an internal neoprene sleeve for unmatched comfort and fit.

With the success of the Supra Skytop and the Supra Skytop II came high expectations and anticipation for the newest Supra shoe to drop. Luckily, Muska definitely did not disappoint. The Supra Skytop III has already been called a "classic"and "the end of safe shoe design". For the design of the Skytop 3, Muska stepped away from the oldschool sneaker look, and instead took a completely innovative approach by drawing on inspirations from 90’s basketball sneakers and tech running shoes. The Skytop III combines the best of vintage footwear with a distinctively futuristic look and ground breaking Supra technology. The Supra Skytop III has a durable heel protective rubber cupsole, a thick geometric outsole, blown EVA throughout the entire forefoot, heel, and rubber side walls, a fully enclosed mesh booty, an EVA heel crushing pod with an air pocket in the heel and an ergonomically broken rubber bottom for flexibility and added board feel. Best of all? The Skytop III has a smooth TPR rubber cage over the side walls just to round out the throwback 90’s sneaker look.
