How long does free/economy shipping take to arrive?

Free/Economy shipping generally takes up to 8 business days, depending on your location in the country. This means that when you add weekends into the mix, it can take up to two weeks. Additionally, this type of shipping may be delivered by UPS or USPS and does not include the ability to make changes to delivery or file investigations. If you need your package faster, you may want to choose one of our other shipping options.

What shipping carrier does Zumiez use?

We use both UPS and USPS to deliver packages. Free and Economy packages may be delivered by either carrier, and we won't know ahead of time. If you are not able to receive mail from USPS at your location, please make sure to choose Standard shipping to ensure the package is delivered by UPS. All APO, FPO, and PO Box addresses will be delivered exclusively by USPS. Standard and Express Shipping to physical addresses will always be sent via UPS, as will every Next Day package (Next Day shipping is not available to PO Boxes). International Packages are shipped using DHL Global Express. The recipient is responsible for all customs fees, taxes, and brokerage charges. Refused packages will be abandoned and will not be refunded.

When will my order ship?

Orders placed before 3pm PST, Monday through Friday are generally shipped on the same business day. Orders placed after 3pm PST should be shipped the next business day. All orders are subject to product availability and order verification, which can delay the shipment of your package. Business days include Monday through Friday and exclude Holidays.

Transit time is always measured in business days, and does not include the day of shipment. On the day we ship your order, it will leave our facility in the evening to be sorted by the carrier, and transit time will start the next business day. For example, if your order is placed before 3pm PST on a Monday, it should leave our facility that night. For Next-Day shipping it will arrive Tuesday, Express shipping (2-3 day) it will arrive by Thursday. Standard shipping (3-5 business days) will arrive by the following Monday, and Economy or Free shipping will arrive by the following Wednesday. We cannot guarantee any shipping times when transportation networks are disrupted (inclement weather for example).

Can I have items shipped to a Zumiez Store?

Absolutely, you may ship to any Zumiez store location within the U.S. - and better yet - it's FREE! Depending on your location, allow for 7-10 business days* for delivery, then swing by anytime to pick up your order. How to ship your order to your local Zumiez:

  1. During the checkout process, select <Ship to a Zumiez Store>
  2. Enter your Zip/Postal Code or State where you would like your order to be shipped
  3. Select which store in that area you would like your order to be delivered
  4. Complete your order
  5. Print your confirmation to bring to the store when you pick up your order.
*Alaska and Hawaii residents please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery. Additional charges may apply to large items, such as rails, ramps, snowboards, boots and bindings. All ship to store orders are pre-paid online.

The tracking says my package was delivered, but I don't have my order. What do I do?

Check with other members of your household, neighbors, apartment managers first to see if someone accepted the package for you. If you're unable to locate your package, feel free to contact Customer Service at 877-828-6929 and we'll help you determine where it is.

How do I ship to a military base?

Tips for shipping to an APO or FPO address:

  • Make sure to include the recipients full name and rank if applicable.
  • Use all address fields available, including "Company Name", "Address 1" and "Address 2" if necessary. Sometimes Military addresses are long!
  • Enter "APO" or "FPO" into the "City" field. This indicates that it is going to a military installation for delivery.
  • The State/Province field must read "Armed Forces" with the appropriate location. Options are Africa, Americas, Canada, Europe, Middle East, or Pacific.
  • Country field: Always select "United States" from the drop-down menu regardless of where the recipient is stationed. This is the only way the system will know to charge for domestic and not international shipping and will result in a significantly lower shipping cost.
    What should I do if I don't receive my package when I expect to?

    If your package doesn't arrive by the expected delivery date, please contact Customer Care at or 877-828-6929 as soon as possible and we will be happy to contact the carrier to locate your package. It's very important that you notify us if your package is not received, as we don't receive notification from any other source. Packages must be reported missing within 30 days of the expected delivery date in order to facilitate research by Zumiez and our shipping carriers.

    Why was my package delivered to a Post Office?

    UPS and the USPS have teamed up to provide some fantastic low-cost shipping options, allowing companies like Zumiez to offer lower prices to our customer. Some Free and Economy Shipping packages will leave Zumiez via UPS and be delivered to your local post office for final delivery. This harnesses the strengths of both companies to get you your order quickly, with little to no cost. Generally packages are delivered to your home by your normal mail carrier 1-2 days after being received by the Post Office.

    Will I have to sign for my Delivery?

    Certain packages will require a signature upon delivery. Orders over $449.00, or orders over $50 where Next Day delivery is chosen. Additionally, UPS occasionally requires a signature at it's discretion.
