BMX REIGNED AT ETNIES' KING OF THE SKATEPARK

November 21, 2011 (Lake Forest, CA) etnies presented the King of the Skatepark BMX event last Saturday at the Fontana Skatepark North in Calif. Filled will street, bowl, high air and best trick competitions in divisions for pros and riders of all ages, the contest wasn't without the etnies BMX team there, including Tom Dugan, Aaron Ross, Corey Martinez and Nathan Williams.

Thanks to etnies' sponsor partners, Action Park Alliance, Red Bull, FIT Bike Co., RIDEBMX magazine, Odyssey BMX, Quintin, Dan's Comp, Oakley, Skullcandy, Spohn Ranch and the City of Fontana, King of the Skatepark brought in hundreds of fans and riders to experience it all. There was free barbecue food for everyone, as well as a DJ and two bands that performed for the crowd's entertainment.

"The etnies King of the Skatepark contest was so much fun," said Don Brown, chief brand strategist for etnies. "Seeing the pioneer of BMX pool riding, Eddie Fiola, along with today's heroes, like Aaron Ross, Tom Dugan, Nathan Williams and Corey Martinez riding was truly amazing. A great time with great people. I can't wait until the next event!"

etnies partnered with the Action Park Alliance, which owns the Fontana Skatepark, in bringing back, after a 25 year break, the BMX event that has come to be known as King of the Skatepark.

"On behalf of the Action Park Alliance, I would like to thank John Povah, Catfish, etnies and all the judges and pros for coming out," said Mark Laue, executive director at Action Park Alliance. "This has been a great partnership in bringing back a legendary BMX contest series. It was truly amazing seeing so many BMX friends back together again, riding and bantering. The best of BMX!"

The event was open to AMs, pros and veterans, ensuring a place for all BMX riders, including a Masters division and a division for the kids 13 and under. Here is a complete list of winners from each category and division:
