ZUMIEZ: "Whats harder to film, street or backcountry? Do you prefer one over the other?"
Alex Cantin: "Right now we are on a rail trip, and I just strapped in for the first time in three days. I feel like when I go film in the backcountry, I get to ride more, because its easy to ask your friend to rip you up the hill, and take some laps you know? But I really like both, because it's super different."
ZUMIEZ: "Coming from Québec, how did you get so good at riding backcountry?"
Alex Cantin: "I wouldn't say I am so good at riding backcountry. I really wanted to film all around video parts, and I have been going to Whistler every year, bought a sled, and I don’t know. I like the backcountry experience. "
ZUMIEZ: "While filming for Déjà vu was it like riding with friends, or was it more intense now that everyone is full blown pro?"
Alex Cantin: "No its not more intense, its just my friends. And we have been riding with each other since the first day, so it's been the same. It was just good to be back together after everybody went filming with a few different companies, so it was definitely one of my best years, last year filming with my friends."
ZUMIEZ: "With LNP, DCP, and MFR repping Québec, do you feel pressured to call yourself 'ACD?'?"
Alex Cantin: "No, not at all. My full name is Alexandre. I just use Alex because its easy, and yeah, that's it."
ZUMIEZ: "Are there any tricks left to do on the red ledge?"
Alex Cantin: Yeah, there's always tricks left anywhere, or whatever spots you go. I just think you need to be creative. Like last year you did the double line on it. So I think there’s always room for new tricks.
