ZUMIEZ: “How was the transition from riding with a group of up and coming "youngbloods" to now riding with a crew of legendary veterans?”
AUSTEN SWEETIN: “It's definitely different. With the Youngblood team it was always pushing to get bigger and better, and with the YES men's its like trying to keep up with them, and stay on their level.”
ZUMIEZ: “Do you think having different sponsors allows you to show different aspects of your riding?”
AUSTEN SWEETIN: “Not necessarily. When I was with Forum I filmed in the backcountry, and had backcountry shots here and there. I would like to just keep progressing in rails, park, and pow, and just keep it well rounded.”
ZUMIEZ: “When summer rolls around, are there snowboarding tendencies you have to unlearn to get into the skate and surf groove?”
AUSTEN SWEETIN: “With skateboarding yeah. I've gotten a lot more into riding bowls and bigger trannies. I think I take that up from snowboarding. Its kind of the closest feeling. Then with surfing its like riding pow. When you spray its like a big pow turn.”
ZUMIEZ: “If you were a pro skater what teams would you want to ride for?”
AUSTEN SWEETIN: “I would skate for Vans, Anti Hero, Independent Trucks and Bones Wheels.”
ZUMIEZ: “What is your main focus for the upcoming season?”
AUSTEN SWEETIN: “My main focus is to just snowboard and keep progressing. Definitely try and film another part. Maybe try and do a contest or two in there.”
ZUMIEZ: “What are you going to do with your dog Bowie this winter?”
AUSTEN SWEETIN: “Maybe get like and oversized fanny pack. Get him a couple face shots, Go ride some pow.”
