Chris Cole is a well known name in the skateboarding industry, with a history of success and accomplishments he still continues to grow as an elite skateboarder dominating practically everything he does. Skating for names like Zero Skateboards, DC Shoes, Thunder Trucks, Spitfire Wheels and more, Street League competitor and two time X Games medalist Chris Cole also founded his own apparel company Omit Clothing.
Born in 1982 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania Chris Cole grew up in Levittown, PA outside of Philly. Chris Cole began his skating career when he was 14 years old, winning competitions and landing his first sponsorship by the time he was 16. In 2006 and 2007 Chris Cole won two consecutive gold medals at the X Games, and then later in the following years he clenched three wins at the Maloof Money Cup. In 2010 Chris joined up with 23 of the best competitors in the first ever Street League pro tour, and has skated the three years Street League has been running, always placing in the top ten and ranking second overall in the 2011 Street League. Chris Cole has also stamped his name on the list of victors in the Battle of the Berrics 2 where he competed in a neck to neck match to take the win.
Outside of competitions, Chris Cole has kept his plate full. In 2005 and 2009 he took home Thrasher’s Skater of the Year Award and Transworld’s Readers Choice Award in 2009. Chris Cole has starred in a variety of skateboarding films such as “Zero Strange World” and upcoming “Zero Cold War” where his skateboarding continues to gain the respect of the skateboarding world. A long time veteran with Zero Skateboards Chris Cole has since become a shareholder where he now helps shape the future and direction of the Zero brand. In 2011 Chris Cole signed with DC shoes where he is now a current member of the DC Skateboarding team. He has numerous of signature products including a personal line of Zero Skateboard decks, signature DC Cole Pro skate shoes, and ownership of Omit Clothing.
As one of the most talented skateboarders Chris Cole has built his career with the pursuit of victory and a passion for the sport. Competing in events like Street League and representing brands such as DC Shoes, Zero Skateboards and Omit Clothing, Chris Cole has dominated the spotlight for nearly a decade with no signs of slowing. Skating for the fun of it Chris has attributed his successes to the pure enjoyment of skateboarding.
