Known for his natural skills, effortless style and persistency Paul Rodriguez has made a name for himself in skateboarding. It’s hard to ignore a guy like Paul, starting his career at a young age with a hefty list of accomplishments, impressive list of sponsors, and signature series of shoes and skateboard decks such as the Nike SB P-Rod shoes and the Plan B P-Rod skateboard decks, Paul Rodriguez has earned his place in the skateboarding industry.

Paul Rodriguez, more formally known as P-Rod bought himself a skateboard at the age of twelve and has been skateboarding ever since. The nickname P-Rod was given to him by his friends at school and it has managed to stick with him throughout his professional career. By the time Paul was 16 years old his mastered skills drew the attention of the City Stars skate team and landed him a sponsorship. For P-Rod this was only the beginning, starting off with a few different roles in skateboarding cinema he caught the attention of many and landed the Transworld Skateboarding’s 2002 award for “Rookie of the Year”. Following in 2004 Paul Rodriguez won his first gold medal in the X Games, taking home the gold the following year in 2005 making him the first professional skateboarder to win two consecutive gold medals at the X Games.

In 2004 Paul Rodriguez made skateboarding history when he signed with the Nike SB team. Following in 2005 Paul Rodriguez became the first skateboarder and Mexican American to ever receive a signature shoe, the Nike SB P-Rod. The P-Rod skate shoe became a highly popular shoe and now has 5 series with a 6 on the way; all featuring state of the art technology by Nike SB. Paul Rodriguez has a variety of many other sponsors including Plan B, Venture, Diamond Supply Co., Nixon and more. Among the list of many accomplishments, Paul Rodriguez also has a line of skate decks through Plan B all featuring a variety of colors, graphics and designs all personalized by Paul himself as well as his very own line of Venture skateboard trucks.

Form his signature P-Rod skate shoe and Plan B skateboard decks, to his record of wins in skateboard competitions, Paul Rodriguez has blazed the trail for skateboarding and has earned the respect of many. As the one of the first Nike skateboarders with incredible talent he has stamped his name in the history of skateboarding.
