Known for his style that is borderline reckless, Tommy Sandoval is a professional skateboarder who is pushing the limits on gaps and rails. With “Die Trying” tattooed on his chest Tommy Sandoval has the skills to match representing names like Zero Skateboards, Fallen Footwear, LRG, 9Five Eyewear and more. His fearless demeanor landed him in competitions such as Street League and video roles like his upcoming part in Zero’s “Cold War” and Fallen Footwear’s "Road Less Traveled".
Born and raised in Chula Vista, California, Tommy Sandoval still calls Chula Vista home with his 3 year old daughter Della. In 2010 Tommy Sandoval was recruited to compete in the first ever Street League pro tour with 23 other of the worlds best skateboarders. In the 2012 Street League Glendale, Arizona stop Tommy Sandoval was voted by his fellow competitors to receive the Zumiez 27-7 Award for his consistency and his insane performance. In the same year Street League got underway Tommy Sandoval also competed in the Real Street competitions at the X Games where 16 professional skateboarders submit a 60 second video at a chance for at an X Games gold medal and cash prize voted by the fans a viewers. Tommy Sandoval came in second place, but won the gold medal in the game of SKATE.
Not a complete stranger to the competition circuit Tommy Sandoval generally focuses his time in other aspects of his skateboarding career. He can be seen shredding up crazy obstacles in videos such as Zero’s “Strange World”, Fallen Footwear’s “Ride the Sky” and his role in Zero’s upcoming film “Cold War”. Tommy Sandoval is also featuring a part in a documentary film called “Road Less Traveled” by Fallen Footwear, where professionals travel to different places in the world to film skateboarding. In a recent commercial for Fallen Footwear’s “Road Less Traveled”, Tommy Sandoval ventures to South Africa for his part where he can be seen skating far out places and exploring the terrain and wildlife of South Africa.
