The History of Converse Skate Shoes

For the past 100 years, Converse has been making shoes that are an American icon. Originally designed for basketball and tennis, Converse shoes have been used for skateboarding for many years because of their totally skate-friendly attributes, like vulcanized rubber outsoles, lightweight construction (often canvas), and durable rubber toe caps.
