Chicago... it's my kind of contest.
Stop number 8 on the Zumiez Best Foot Forward Am Contest Series presented by Boost Mobile was perfect. All kinds of styles were on hand and there were too many tricks in the Finals to keep track of. The Finals jam session was the most action packed of the tour so far.
Marques Devaughn landed a nollie big spin disaster and nollie back nose blunt on the quarter, and a nollie front board and nollie front nose slide down the rail. Fellow Wisconsin ripper Shane Browning stuck flip tricks down the stair set better than anyone all tour. 3 flip, frontside flip, backside flip, switch frontside flip, switch frontside heel flip, and even a kick flip front board down the rail put Shane in 3rd place.
Miles Canevello boosted sick airs over the channel like a melon, melon to fakie and a crowd pleaser front 50 to drop off the end of the quarter. He landed a pop shuv down the set and a 5-0 to fakie on the out ledge to sneak into 2nd.
Corey Hendricks skated the whole course and landed tricks that we haven't seen on BFF so far: 3 flip fakie and blunt kick flip on the quarter, nose blunt down the hubba, and kick flip 5-0 down the rail...he deserved the win and a chance to represent Chicago in the Finals in Milpitas, California. Big thanks to Boost Mobile, Zumiez, TransWorld Skateboarding and Adio.
