Competition Stiffens in New York
The main reason to have an am contest on the Zumiez Couch Tour 2007 is to involve the local skate scene in each market and have them participate instead of just spectate. Being invited is a privilege in itself and you can see how hyped the kids are to be skating the same course as the pros do during the respective demos.

Tyler Davis was feeling horrible, he threw up before the Finals
and wasn't going to compete.  He ended up front boarding and front 5-0ing the wall ride and did a smooth frontside melon in the quarter for 3rd place.

This was the most contested finish so far between the judges behind the scenes, as the top 2 guys deserved to win. After many debates, Jon Mueller ended up 2nd with fast paced lines all over the course, including a backside flip down the set and super fast tricks down the rail and out ledge.

Evan Dow started the day in the first heat with a kick flip back tail on the picnic table in the first 5 seconds, and ended it with a kick flip board slide down the rail in the Finals and a trip to California for the BFF Finals.
