Plan B Skateboards began in 1991 as the skateboard industry made a move into a more progressive era. The upstart mastermind was led by Mike Ternasky who featured team riders like Danny way, Matt Hensley, Mike Carroll, Sean Scheffey, and Rick Howard.
In 1994, Plan B Skateboards leader Ternasky was in an unexpected car accident that claimed his life. The company was left in the hands of close friends, Danny Way and Colin McKay. They made a valiant effort in trying to manage both their own professional skateboarding careers, keep the Plan B operation up and running, plus dealing with the loss of a their best friend.
In 2005, Plan B, in association with Syndrome Distribution, re-launched with an added set of professionally elite skaters. The new team consisted of Paul Rodriguez, Ryan Sheckler, Torey Puckwill, PJ Ladd, Pat Duffy, Colin McKay and Danny Way.
Plan B has prevailed through the hard time and has produced a brand that is familiar throughout the global skateboard community featuring top of the line skateboards that are made in North America.
