Unlike regular skateboards which are generally shorter and thinner for tricks, the added length and width of the longboard deck delivers a stable and smooth ride making it more comfortable, and is often compared to surfing because of the riders ability for speed, large turns and carving.

Featuring different constructions utilizing durable materials like bamboo, maple and fiberglass, longboard skateboards come in a variety of styles including Cruisers, Pintails, Drop Through and Drop Down longboards. Depending on your specific riding style and preferences, each style, size and material of longboard will provide a different feel. Many pintail longboards use looser trucks and larger wheels making them ideal for the "surf" styled carve, while cruiser boards are slightly smaller with large wheels making them great for both tricks and catching speed and carving down hills.
