ZUMIEZ: What keeps you in Pennsylvania over California?
Tom Asta: Well I bought a house here recently, so that's a commitment. Also I have all my family here, and all my close friends that I grew up skating with, and that I like skating with are all here in PA, so it kind of just makes sense to stay. As long as I can still do what I have to do skating-wise out here, I don't see any reason to move at all, and so far it has been working. So I am staying here I guess.
ZUMIEZ: What is your favorite skate spot in Pennsylvania?
Tom Asta: I guess down in Philadelphia, you can skate the schools, the University of Penn, Drexel, and all that, and they have a lot of good spots there. They are probably my favorites. Also you have the Municipal building, that is really good to skate, but kinda hard to skate, kick out wise, you get kicked out a lot, but yeah right now they are probably my favorite PA spots.
ZUMIEZ: How did it feel to place third at the Tampa Pro?
Tom Asta: Placing third at Tampa was really cool. I went there not really expecting much, and came out with third place so I was more than stoked.
ZUMIEZ: Do you consider yourself a competitive person?
Tom Asta: No, I don't think I am very competitive, and that's why it maybe helps me out a little bit. I always just go to a contest, and try to figure a way to hang in there with everybody, and then just go from there.
