Zumiez: "What riders influenced your signature tweak style?"
Austin Hironaka: "Some of my main influences when it comes to tweaking grabs would definitely be Jamie Lynn, Peter Line, and Mike Ranquet, probably cause they're all three from Washington."
Zumiez: "How important is it to have your equipment dialed in?"
Austin Hironaka: "I think its really important to have the right equipment when you're out there. Board needs to be waxed. Edges tuned. You need to have your bindings tight to your board and I think its most important to have your boots dialed in so they're real comfortable so your feet don't fall asleep and you can go out and have a really good day."
Zumiez: "It looks like JapMob has gotten a lot more legit in the last year. What is it exactly??"
Austin Hironaka: "Wanna know about JapMob huh? Well I can tell you if you know you know and if you don't you don't. But I did hear there might be a movie dropping this next year...."
Zumiez: "Who has the best vision of what snowboarding is about?"
Austin Hironaka: "I think the people that have got the best vision on what snowboarding actually is are the people that can suit up and just go out and have a good time just doing whatever the hell it is that they like to do. Powder. Rails. Halfpipe. Who cares what it is? Just go ride your snowboard and have a good time."
Zumiez: "Do you ride with your brother a lot?"
Austin Hironaka: "He's still going hard. He rides all the time. We ride together when we can. The kids got so much style. I think as a young kid he had style and as he gets older he's growing into it even more and perfecting his art of snowboarding."
