Zumiez: "What will fans get from Cold War that they won't be expecting?"
Garrett Hill: "I think with this video, what makes it so different, is how we're getting back to Zero's roots. I don't want to say bad filming but really rudimentary film making."
Zumiez: "Is it a goal for the video to be filmed in places you won't recognize from other videos?"
Garrett Hill: "I don't think there's any real goal to the video besides getting out in the street and do something. You know what I mean? I don't think there's much pre-meditation going into going out and skating. It's just whatever shows up. Get in the car and go wherever."
Zumiez: "How has your role within the Zero team changed over the years, going from am to pro and now being a vet?"
Garrett Hill: "I've been around Zero for over 10 years now. Instead of being that kid on my first trip, getting picked on or just going through the motions to just get picked up and get on the team, I get to sit back and watch that happen with other people. So now I get to sit in the van and see other people get picked on. We still pick on each other all the time. We're always making fun of each other but I'm just not getting it as much as I used to."
Zumiez: "How do you look at skateboarding differently today than you did 10 years ago?"
Garrett Hill: "Skateboarding itself has changed over the past 10 years. Like entirely. Its totally different than how it was when I started skating, but I don't really look at it any differently. I started skating because it was fun and I got to skate with my friends and go places I would have never gone before."
Zumiez: "Your brother got you into skateboarding. How often do the two of you skate together?"
Garrett Hill: "My older brother Gantry did get me into skating. He got me started when I was 10 and he was 12. Yeah we would go every day, and every night, like you should I think."
Zumiez: "Whats the biggest mistake ams make in their quest to go pro?"
Garrett Hill: "I think the biggest mistake you can make as an am is piling out too hard. Just because you put out one video part doesn't mean that you've made it. You know what I mean? Even when I turned pro I realized, thats when your work really starts. There's so much work to be done and like, you know what I mean, you can't just sit back and go 'I did it. I got my board. I'm good.' Ya know?"
