Torey Pudwill Biography
A phenomenal skateboarder with insane skills and a knack for making people laugh, Torey Pudwill has earned the respect of all in the skateboarding world. Often known as T-Puds, this three time Street League competitor is nothing short of amazing. Torey Pudwill is sponsored by a list of esteemed sponsors such as Plan B Skateboards, DVS Shoes, Bone Bearings, Venture Trucks, Matix Clothing and more, and he founded his own company Grizzly Griptape.
One of the well known names from Simi Valley, California Torey Pudwill was born in 1990. As a local rider at the Shorty’s park, Torey Pudwill always dreamed of one day becoming a professional skateboarder. When asked the question what he would be doing if he wasn’t a professional skateboarder Torey Pudwill answered the question stating that he might be an accountant, a lawyer or anything business related. This should come as no surprise since at the age of 12 Torey Pudwill tried his hand at being an entrepreneur when he founded Grizzly Griptape. Starting the company out of the garage with a stamp designed by his father, Grizzly Griptape originally sold its products to local skate shops and riders. T-Puds made the decision to team up with Diamond Supply Co. and in 2010 the Grizzly Griptape company was officially launched.
T-Puds was recruited to be one of the 24 contenders in the first ever Street League pro tour. In the 2011 of Street League Torey Pudwill earned a spot in the Nine Club when he scored a 9.4 by landing a nollie kickflip to backside lipside. In 2010 T-Puds won Best Trick in the Tampa Pro, then in the following year won the Maloof Money Cup. Torey Pudwill has also played his fair share of groundbreaking video roles in films like DVS’s “Skate More”, Raul Rodriguez’s “PROOF”, Transworld’s “Hallelujah” as well as roles in internet videos such as Battle Commander in the Berrics and of course his unforgettable part in “Big Bang” by Plan B Skateboards released by Thrasher Magazine.
Torey Pudwill is a skateboarder with a technical style and consistency that is hard to forget. Representing names like Plan B Skateboards, Matix Clothing and DVS Shoes, Torey Pudwill also has his own signature line of Plan B skateboard decks and Matix clothing. Throwing down in competitions like Street League and wowing skateboarders everywhere with his memorable roles in skateboard cinema, Torey Pudwill has become the epitome of his childhood dream.
