The history of Reef
Reef has been around for over 25 years, with a journey beginning with two brothers from Argentina, Fernando and Santiago Aguerre. Both surfers with an entrepreneurial fever, the brothers acted on an idea to create the highest quality, most comfortable, active lifestyle sandals. Attracted by the So-Cal lifestyle, the brothers both ended up in Southern California, where they would found Reef. With a lot of hard work, the brothers turned Reef into the number 1 sandal brand.
25 years later, the Reef company is thriving as one of the leading surf brands in the world, offering sandals and other footwear for guys, girls, and kids. Through all the changes over the years, Reef is driven by the thoughts from the very beginning... being surfers at heart and drawing influence from the world around them. Reef still stands for the same foundation that it was built with back in 1984.
