Kemper Snowboards
Kemper Snowboards was founded in 1987 by David Kemper in Ontario, Canada. Kemper built the first boards in his garage during the winter of 1984. A few years later in 1988, David was ready to move production out of his garage and began manufacturing boards in Montreal, Canada. The Kemper snowboard brand was grew so fast that a year later they moved production moved to a larger factory in Austria. Kemper Snowboards became one of the biggest snowboarding brands in the world almost overnight, competing directly against Burton and Sims. Kemper was known for its bright neon graphics and color block outerwear. Do you remember the extra long coat tail on the back snowboard jacket that you would sit on top of the snow to put on your bindings?
