Metal Skateboards
In 1994, a group of skateboarders in New Jersey were drinking mushroom tea and listening to Black Sabbath when one of them suggested they make a skateboarding video called "Metal." The name stuck, and the group started spray-painting the word "Metal" on their skateboard griptape. Within a few weeks, other skateboarders started doing the same, and the name "Metal" quickly became synonymous with a certain style of skateboarding. The Metal skateboarders were known for their aggressive, dark, and rebellious attitude. They didn't care about what anyone else thought, and they skated for the pure love of the sport. They were also fiercely independent, and they didn't want to be associated with any of the big skateboarding companies. Instead, they started their own company, Metal Skateboards, and they did everything on their own. Metal Skateboards was an instant success. The company's boards were high-quality, and the team of riders was talented and stylish. Metal quickly became one of the most popular skateboarding brands in the world, and its influence can still be felt today. The Metal skateboarders were more than just a group of skateboarders. They were a movement, and they helped to change the face of skateboarding. They showed the world that skateboarding could be about more than just tricks and competitions. It could be about attitude, about rebellion, and about freedom. Metal is more than just a brand. It's a way of life. It's an attitude. It's a movement. It's skateboarding.
