In 2014, Dez Fafara was fresh off yet another grueling tour with his band DevilDriver. He decided to go for a drive with his wife Anahstasia to clear his head. As they cruised down the highway with Slayer blasting from the car stereo speakers, Dez had an idea for a new family business.

"What if we started our own clothing brand?" he asked Anahstasia. "Something that represents our love of music, skateboarding, and surfing."

Anahstasia loved the idea. They started brainstorming names and logos, and soon Suncult was born.

The brand quickly gained a following among fans of heavy metal and extreme sports. Dez and Anahstasia were passionate about their work, and they put their heart and soul into everything they did. They designed their own clothing and accessories, and they even started their own record label.

In 2018, they were joined by their friend Randy Blythe, the lead singer of Lamb of God. Blythe was a longtime fan of Suncult, and he was excited to be a part of the team.
