Browse bearings from top brands including Bones, Bronson Speed Co., and more. Tested by pro skaters, there is a wide range of options to choose from, including shield colorways, constructions, and ABEC ratings to match your needs. ABEC ratings run from 3 to 9; higher tolerance means less friction and longer life, but proper lubing matters just as much. These bearings fit standard 8mm truck axles and mount straight into any wheel. Check out the Skate collection to shop for any skateboard essentials.

What's the difference between steel and ceramic skateboard bearings?
Steel bearings like Bones Reds are the go-to for most skaters - affordable, fast, and easy to clean and re-lube. Ceramic bearings, like Bones Ceramic or Bronson Speed Co. ceramics, use harder balls that create less friction and hold up longer without maintenance. They cost more upfront, but they spin noticeably faster and don't corrode the same way steel does.
What ABEC rating should I get for skateboarding?
ABEC 5 and ABEC 7 are the sweet spot for street and park skating - tight enough tolerance for real speed, but not so precise that dirt and impact wreck them immediately. Bones actually uses their own 'Skate Rated' spec instead of ABEC, which is built specifically for the lateral forces skateboarding puts on bearings. Bronson Speed Co. runs a similar approach with their G2, G3, and Ceramic tiers.
