Everything you need to know about buying Zumiez gift cards, checking your balance, and getting help with e-gift cards or lost cards.

Buying a Gift Card

Gift cards can be purchased at any Zumiez store or on Zumiez.com. Online, you can choose a physical card shipped to you or an e-gift card delivered by email. For gift card purchasing options, visit our gift card page.

Checking Your Balance

Call 1-800-871-4531 to check your gift card balance. Any Zumiez store location can also look up the balance on your card.

E-Gift Cards

What is an e-gift card?

An e-gift card is a digital gift card delivered to the recipient's email address. It can be used at Zumiez.com and in any U.S. Zumiez store.

How long does it take to receive an e-gift card?

E-gift cards are sent by email after your payment is verified. Here's the sequence:

  1. You place the order and receive a confirmation email
  2. Our Order Verification team reviews the order for cardholder safety
  3. Any physical items on your order are processed for shipment
  4. The e-gift card is sent to the recipient's email address

If your order contains only the e-gift card and you've requested immediate delivery, it will be sent within 24 hours of your order being placed.

If your order includes other products, the e-gift card is sent when those items are packed for shipment. Once you receive a "We've shipped a package to you!" email, your gift card has been sent to the recipient.


Delayed delivery: If you've requested a future delivery date, your payment is still processed immediately. The gift card email is sent to the recipient on the morning of the requested date.

I didn't receive my e-gift card

If the recipient hasn't received anything after 2 business days:

  • Check all spam and junk folders
  • Search the inbox for the subject line: "You've been sent a gift from..." followed by the sender's name
  • Try searching in Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook directly if the account uses one of those providers

If you've checked all of the above and still can't find it, contact Zumiez Customer Care by phone or through the contact form.

Lost or Stolen Gift Cards

Treat your gift card like cash. Lost or stolen cards can only be replaced if the full 16-digit card number is provided to validate the remaining balance.

  • Online purchases: Customer Care may be able to retrieve the card number for you — this is not guaranteed but worth contacting us about
  • In-store purchases: In-store gift card purchases are not traceable and cannot be retrieved
  • Your receipt does not contain the full card number — you'll need the physical card or the 16-digit number from the back

If you have the full card number, contact Customer Care and we will do everything we can to replace it. We can only replace the value remaining at the time the loss is reported.

Note: Gift cards purchased from any source other than Zumiez.com or Zumiez retail locations are not valid and will not be replaced or reloaded.

Redeeming for Cash

Zumiez gift cards are not redeemable for cash, except where required by law. Balances of $10 or less can be cashed out at any Zumiez retail store upon request.

Gift Card Details

  • Online, gift cards are available in amounts from $10 to $500
  • In store, gift cards can be purchased in any amount over $10
  • Gift cards are valid in the country where they were purchased — cards purchased in the U.S. or on Zumiez.com are valid in U.S. stores and online only; cards purchased in Canada are valid in Zumiez Canada stores only
  • Gift cards are not redeemable for cash, except where required by law
  • Treat gift cards like cash — we are unable to replace cards that are lost, stolen, or damaged without the full card number
