Zumiez Shipping Guide
Most orders ship within 1–2 business days. Here's how delivery works, what to expect on timing, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Free Shipping
Zumiez offers free economy shipping on qualifying orders shipped to the contiguous United States. A minimum order total is required, check the cart for the current threshold.
- Contiguous US only. Free shipping does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO addresses, or US Territories.
- Oversized items excluded. Products that don't qualify will be noted in their individual product descriptions.
- Ship-to-store is always free. Ship any order to your local Zumiez store at no charge, no minimum required.
How economy shipping works
Economy orders ship ground via FedEx or USPS (carrier may vary by location). Delivery takes 3–10 business days within the contiguous US. Once an order is processed, delivery address changes are not available.
3-Day Shipping for $8.95
Orders of $59.95 or more before tax qualify for 3-day shipping at $8.95 - a discounted express option when you need it sooner. Orders under $59.95 have access to standard carrier rates.
Holiday Flat-Rate Shipping
During the holiday season, orders of $59.95 or more qualify for a flat-rate option that guarantees delivery by December 24. See the Holiday Help page for active dates each year.
Delivery Times
Times below apply to standard US addresses in the contiguous 48 states, not P.O. Boxes. All times are business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).
- Free / Economy — 3–10 business days
- Standard — 3 business days or less
- Express — 2 business days (order by 1:00 PM local time)
- Next Day Air — 1 business day (order by 1:00 PM local time, weekdays only)
Note: All orders are subject to inventory verification and fraud review, which may add processing time. See the Order Processing section below.
P.O. Box Deliveries
USPS is the only carrier that delivers to P.O. Boxes. Expedited options will not achieve standard address delivery speeds when shipping to a P.O. Box, and tracking updates may be limited during USPS transit. For P.O. Boxes in Alaska or Hawaii, allow up to 30 business days.
Order Processing Time
Factors that can delay processing:
- Order flagged for fraud prevention review
- Item availability changes after order placement
- Incomplete or unconfirmed billing information
Zumiez will contact you if your order cannot ship. Providing accurate billing and contact details helps avoid delays.
Order Tracking
How do I track my Zumiez order?
Two ways:
- Click "Track My Order" in your shipping confirmation email. If your order has multiple packages, you'll get a separate email for each.
- Visit the Track My Order page and enter the order number from your confirmation email.
No tracking info yet? Updates can take up to 48 hours after your shipping email is sent. Weekends and holidays don't count toward that window.
Why is my package being delivered by the post office?
Carriers like FedEx sometimes hand off packages to local USPS for final delivery, this always happens for P.O. Box addresses. When this occurs, tracking may be limited and you may only see an estimated delivery date rather than real-time scan events.
My tracking says "Delivered" but my package isn't here.
- Check with household members, neighbors, and building managers
- Check around the delivery area (side doors, behind planters, mailroom)
- Wait 24 hours. Postal tracking sometimes updates early
If the package still hasn't arrived, contact Customer Care. Please note that Zumiez is not responsible for packages that have been confirmed delivered by the carrier.
In-Store Pickup
Select in-store pickup at checkout to collect your order from a local Zumiez location.
- Place your order and choose a store at checkout.
- Wait for the "Your Order Is Ready for Pickup" email before heading to the store. Your order confirmation only means the store received the request — not that it's ready.
- Pick up within 5 days. Uncollected orders are automatically cancelled after 5 days with no charge to your account.
Emails you'll receive
- Order Confirmation — store has received your order
- Your Order Is Ready for Pickup — your cue to head in
- Out of Stock — if we can't fill the order, we'll notify you and usually offer free expedited shipping instead
- Pickup Reminder — a nudge if you haven't come in yet
- Pickup Confirmation — sent once your order is collected
Keep an eye out for order verification emails too - delays in responding will extend your pickup window.
Making Changes or Cancelling an Order
Our warehouse teams move fast, sometimes orders ship in minutes. Changes and cancellations cannot be guaranteed after an order is placed. If you need to modify an address, swap a size, or cancel, contact us immediately:

Include your order number and the specific change you're requesting. We'll try to catch it, but we can't guarantee it
Why Did My Order Ship in Multiple Packages?
Zumiez ships from fulfillment locations across the US. If items in your order are stocked in different warehouses, they ship separately. Here's what to expect:
- Each shipment generates its own shipping confirmation email with separate tracking
- Each shipment may show as a separate charge on your bank statement
- The total of all charges will never exceed your original order amount
Signature Required on Delivery
Zumiez does not ship on the following holidays. Our schedule follows carrier availability — they're the ones who get your order to you.

Some Zumiez retail locations may also be closed on these days. Plan your shipping method accordingly when ordering near a holiday.
State Shipping Taxes
Some states charge sales tax on shipping and handling fees:
- Colorado: A $0.27 state-mandated fee applies to orders delivered within Colorado. This charge is non-refundable per state law.
- Washington D.C.: A 6% sales tax on shipping applies to orders delivered to Washington D.C. (effective August 15, 2024). This is non-refundable.
Rules vary by state. Zumiez calculates and collects applicable taxes at checkout per each state's requirements.
