Zumiez has stores across all 50 states. We are required to charge state sales tax on orders shipped to those individual states.
Additionally, some states charge sales tax on shipping and handling, while others charge sales tax only on merchandise. We are required to follow the rules of each state, and the tax on your order reflects those rules.
Duties and taxes will be applied to order shipped to U.S. Territories. You can view those policies here.

No sales tax is charged on gift certificates. The appropriate sales tax will be charged on the purchase when and where the gift certificate is redeemed.
