Returns & Exchanges
Visiting your local store is the FAST and FREE way to process your return or exchange. Find your nearest location with our Store Locator Page.
Sign up for The Zumiez Stash with a valid phone number when purchasing. We store your receipts digitally, so you'll never need to dig one up for a return.
Note: Anything purchased before 5/5/26 is not eligible for mail in exchange. Please bring any exchanges to the store, or mail in your items to receive a refund.
Return Policy
All returns and exchanges must be accompanied by the original receipt and returned in original, unused, packaged, and resalable condition. Manufacturer defects are handled through manufacturer warranties. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
- Within 30 days — full refund or exchange to original payment method
- After 30 days — gift card for the full purchase price on the receipt
- After 90 days — gift card for current retail or lowest promotional price
- Snowboard items — must be returned or exchanged within 30 days; all sales final after that
- No receipt — gift card for current retail or lowest promotional price; return may be refused
- Clearance items (prices ending in .96, .97, or .98) — all sales final, no returns or exchanges
- Stash rewards — items redeemed with Stash points are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged
Stash points earned on returned items will be deducted from your balance. See the full return policy for refund method details.
Gift Receipts
Items returned with a gift receipt can be exchanged or refunded as a gift card for the amount paid at the time of the gifter's purchase. Gift receipts are only available for in-store purchases, they cannot be issued for online orders.
HOLIDAY RETURN POLICY
Any items purchased from 11/1/23-12/24/23 can be returned until 1/31/24, as long as conditions below are met. All returns (refunds or exchanges) must be accompanied by the original receipt and may be returned to any Zumiez location within the same country they were purchased. All merchandise (including all skate & snowboard related items) must be returned in its original, unused, packaged & resalable condition, except for manufacturer defects (refer to manufacturer warranties).
Anything purchased after 1/1/24 will fall into our normal Return Policy.
How to Return or Exchange by Mail
The fastest way to return or exchange is always your local store. If you need to mail items back, follow the steps below.

STEP 1: FILL OUT RETURNS AND EXCHANGES FORM

Download and print the form below. Fill it out completely and include it in your box.
STEP 2: PACK YOUR ITEMS

Any plain, unmarked box works - including the one your order shipped in!
STEP 3: PURCHASE POSTAGE AND MAIL YOUR PACKAGE

Send your box with the completed returns/exchanges form to:

STEP 4: Watch for a confirmation email

Once your package is received, we'll process your return and email you when it's complete. This may take a few weeks.
Express Exchange
To make sure you get the item you want before it sells out:
- Order the replacement item on Zumiez.com
- Pack the item you're exchanging with the original invoice and the completed returns/exchanges form
- Write your new order number on the form
- Ship to the returns address above
We'll credit your account for the exchanged item including shipping on the new order (Economy or Standard only), and we'll honor any discounts from your original purchase.
If you'd rather not pre-order, send the exchange item with clear instructions for what you'd like instead. Complete the exchange as quickly as possible - exact replacements aren't always available.
Mailed Return Refund Timeline
Transit time to our facility in Corona, CA varies. Once your tracking shows delivered, allow up to 2 weeks for your return or exchange to be processed. You'll receive an email confirmation when it's complete.

Social Media Purchases
Items purchased through social media have their own process.
Tracking your order
Order status can be found within your social media app. Social media orders cannot be tracked on zumiez.com. No changes (address, name, email) can be made once an order is placed. There is a 1-day processing time before shipment — you'll receive an email when your order is packed and ready to ship.
Returning a social media purchase.
- Initiate your return through the social media platform where you placed the order
- You'll receive mailing instructions by email — or follow the mail-in steps above
- Social media purchases cannot be returned in a Zumiez store — all returns must be mailed in
- Refunds go to the original payment method, except PayPal purchases — those are refunded as a Zumiez gift card
Exchanging a social media purchase
- Visit your local Zumiez store to exchange
- You may exchange for an item of equal value; if the new item costs more, you're responsible for the difference
- Exchanges cannot be completed through the mail-in returns center — in-store only
